Tristeza Mixtape w/ Emily Wells
On Wednesday 25 January Tristeza – sad music makes me happy presents the third instalment of Tristeza Mixtape, the show’s spin-off introducing selections of sad music curated by the favourite artists of Fred Montgomery, host of the show.
This time Tristeza Mixtape invites Emily Wells, American multi-instrumentalist with a classical formation who brings together chamber music, pop and electronics, creating visionary scenarios touching crisis topics such as climated change and HIV. If you catch her playing live you might as well see Emily Wells perform in her “one woman band”, in which each limb of hers is dedicated to play acoustic and electric instruments. It’s no surprise that her selection for this episode is extremely valid – Emily Wells is undoubtedly one of the most interesting musicians and music connoisseurs of the contemporary indie scene.
In the first 20 minutes host and creator of Tristeza Fred Montgomery will introduce the artist with a selection of some of her most representative songs, besides a short monography dedicated to Emily Wells.
