In February new shows, important collaborations and very special guests landed at RBL. RBL’s team selected for you the best contents of the past month: you’ll find all of them in February’s Monthly Digest.

Every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, Serena and Agnese, together with a different guest in every episode, share with us a recipe and a playlist in a quest to discover their projects dedicated to sustainability and the 17 points of the Agenda 2030.
Riquelme took us on his spaceship to discover a mix of new musical forms in between Deep House and Techno Grooves with a touch of psychedelic and minimal tones.
SIP RIK (Riccardo) wants to experiment a new dimension of expression: the soundscape. To do so, he tries to reinterpret his surroundings with new eyes, in order to give voice to the concepts of landscape, art, music and poetry from excerpts of movies, shows, interviews. The first episode of Paesaggi Sonori went on air on Thursday 24th February.
The monthly show curated by Circolo del Design returned on RBL with the first episode of its second season. This episode’s theme was the horoscope, but we also talked about Age of Aquarius, Pygmalion Effect and the Co-Star app. Episode’s guest, Alinaspecialina, spoke about merits, faults and unexpected features of the 12 zodiac signs.

In February, on occasion of the first monthly appointment with the show, Claudia invited the Turin-based trio Atlante and she hosted the project Cantautori a Pezzi during the second one. The band Atlante talked about their second release, the album Paure/Verità, whereas the members of Cantautori a Pezzi have proposed a deepening on the role of songwriters in our society and how they try to accomplish their task of picturing the world.
→ Akwaaba Radio Show w/Jackie & Verynice’n’sleazy
On Sunday 20th February, the DJs Jackie and Andrea (aka Verynice’n’Sleazy – – music selector based in Milan) gifted us two hours of vibes exclusively selected for the second monthly episode of Akwaaba Radio Show. The two selectors juggled with experimental Hip-Hop, Dub, Ambient Dub and Downtempo.

In February the special episode of the monthly show hosted by TO_MA_O was dedicated to the Japanese composer, Haruomi Hosono, with a two-hour-selection covering the huge and funny artist’s discography.
→ Sound of BOCTOK w/Conorlee
After some time off, the monthly appointment with Sound of BOCTOK – the show that offers an overview on the music and cultural scene of the Ukraine region of Donbass – returned on RBL. In the first episode of the new season, the music creations by designer, producer and DJ from Donetsk, CONORLEE, were presented. Meanwhile, the situation in Ukraine has drastically changed, becoming an international humanitarian emergency. The RBL’s scientific research show, hosted by Giancarlo and Stefano, this past month met Professor Vincenzo Crupi in the first episode (Scienza e Incertezza / Science and Uncertainty) and Antonio Lieto in the second one (Menti Artificiali / Artificial Minds).
RBL x Kiosk Radio | Outsiders
Starting from February 2022, RBL joined the project Outsiders, curated by Kiosk Radio – web community radio from Bruxelles.
Nader – DJ, music collector and founder of the crew and clubnight Bounce FM in Turin, as well as host of the RBL’s show Champion Sound – took care of the first appointment with Outsiders.
Also Jazz Re:Found and the artists, selectors and DJs that best represent the festival’s essence with their music selections took part in the project. Denis Longhi – Jazz Re:Found creator and director – shared his own selection on occasion of the collaboration’s first episode.
→ Riforma Showcase w/ Kinked & Adriano Cava
On 10th February, RBL welcomed the Showcase of Riforma, a self-described “Screw-Wave” label born from the expanded and non-linear movement “New Weird Italia” – founded in Rome by the artistic crew Misto Mame.
→ DE RIO Showcase w/ DVRTN
On Saturday 26th February, RBL hosted the Showcase of the Florence-based collective and independent label DE RIO, on occasion of the release of the Electronic Turin-based duo DVRTN. The project’s founders, ABO, TOMO and Plastique01, participated in the event playing their own three DJ sets, followed by DVRTN’s live set.
