The special show of the parisian duo Housecall strikes back with 4 new french artists, on air Saturday 30th April at 8pm
David Louison aka Davjazz is a Deejay impossible to miss of the French Funk scene, mythical host of the Masterfonk show on Rinse France and now on Radio Campus Orleans. He has mixed with Dee Nasty, Kon (Kon and Amir), Pal Joey, Daniel Wang and many other international DJs. Deeply rooted in Black music, Latin, Jazz, Afro and Funk sounds since 1993, he has collaborated with many Parisian collectives such as La Mamies, Belleville boogie, La Mona, Groove Boy Project and many others.
Formed around Leo & Mathieu, Conga FM was born in Lyon. Both passionated about music, they intertwine house, the vice force of electronic music, and world music. A synthesis comparable to wine, the common sense is the strength, and the spirit the flavor.
Indeed, if their music appropriates a rhythmic and world music sounds, they refuse for all that to make in the simplicity and play the card of a hybrid set dj x live, in four hands where the percussions take a primordial place, creators of crazy rhythmic and mixed sounds. The spectrum of electronic music is fully present, inviting us to travel and daydream and taking us to different atmospheres around the world.
Appreciated for her multi-faceted DJ sets, Bernadette frees herself from genre restrictions and wanders happily between House music (Funk / Acid / Italo disco) & Rave (Tribe / Trance) through more spasmodic rhythms ( Break / UK Bass / Jungle / Base Music), the artist navigates with disconcerting ease between universes.
As a young producer, she likes to use her technical knowledge of the harp to emancipate herself from limits, by developing a rich sound with marked identities. Her first release “BabyDoux” on the Ola Radio compilation was playlisted by Trax magazine. Her second on the Grenoble compilation “Records or not records” is distributed on CD on Lobster Theremin.
At the same time, she created the collective “Move ur Gambettes”, working around gender issues, in particular the under-representation of girls in the world of electronic music. The objectives are multiple: Introduce to djing, offer professional and benevolent training without judgment and finally support and promote emerging female electronic music artists. In collaboration with Act right, the project is exported throughout France (Grenoble, Lyon, Paris, Marseille and Bordeaux).
DjReïne is a producer, dj and beatmaker. Her music mixes techno, ambient, punk and hip hop influences. These are some of her originals. Like Louisahh, Miss Kittin or Kae Tempest, her lyrics lead back to collective questions. Her tracks intertwine hip-hop rhythms with acid and trans melodies. DjReïne soon releases her album called « Since we are not their priority, let’s organize ourselves ». For this release, she created a live project with two dancers from the Ensemble Kinêtikos company. Following the different musical atmospheres, the dancers move in total improvisation on the stage or in the audience itself. They open up the scenic field of the show and give it a performative dimension, pushing the music to follow the dance and vice versa.
Also, DjREÏNE produces soundtracks for dance companies, rappers and mixes in clubs for techno events.
