Happy to say that on Sunday 28th of May we had an absolute blast at Salvadiscos in Barcelona, receiving some of the most exciting artists of the current musical scene in town.
Starting with the awesome LaMashup we enjoyed latin flows mixed with sweet reggae, a combination that was just as surprising as effective. She perfectly made all those styles come together and made us feel them from our core to our feet.
Afterwards, DJ Lili Mendes totally captivated the audience with her blend of sound, typical rhythms from Brazil with afro beats among other genres, which makes her one of the most enlightened artist nowadays with a lot to share, which surprised us all. Soon we’ll have the pleasure to listen to their first single, all composed and produced by Lili herself, and we couldn’t be more excited about it!
The party continued with the always magical DJ Nicole.Aiff along with her partner in crime DJ Phran who together kept us all moving at Salvadiscos with The Groove Quest, a show full of exquisite music that makes you dance non stop. Both from Caracas, Venezuela, Nicole.Aiff and DJ Phran are giving the best vibes to Bcn, sharing their own productions as well as other fresh tunes.
DJ Phran has an impressive career with releases of several EPs as a solo artist as well as collabs with different musicians such as Luca Lozano and many more. DJ Nicole.Aiff is also a very talented multi disciplinary musician that puts all her passion and soul into her work and makes you feel the same way each time you listen to her art. Keep a close eye on what comes next as Nicole continues to make a big impression on the Catalonian scene. These two together were dynamite and made us enjoy their mix of musical trends, making us dance with big smiles on our faces.
As if all of this were not enough, we had the show Radio Samambaia hosted by Arrebolab, who received DJ âmy B, a DJ and musical producer from São Paulo. Together they spread the Brazilian vibe and culture through a mix of all time classics together with new cuts! Definitely Brazil took over a corner of Barcelona that Sunday and we totally loved it!
And last but not least, the great Kissy Perea aka La Ká joined the party to provide us with her monthly show Taste the Roots and made a perfect and vibrant closure of the event.
As usual, the RBL BCN radio show became a renewal for the spirit, full of new musical discoveries and the sensation that 7 hours of live shows flew by! Lol. You can listen back to all of these shows here…
