Sunday 6th June is the kick off a new season of Secret Garden, RBL’s format dedicated to morning listening sessions of ambient sounds and distensive vibrations, spread through the pending wisterias and the flow of the river, with a two hour selection from the banks of Imbarchino del Valentino.
After a first season in 2020 that has seen iconic italian selectors such as Leo Mas and Claudio Fabrianesi perform alongside local djs and producers, this summer Secret Garden gets the ball rolling with the forward thinking sound artist and producer Katatonic Silentio, who will present live her project Expanded Radio Research Unit, an independent radiophonic platform for innovative works at the intersection of music, spoken word, performance and sound to challenge the limits of the radio medium.
ERRU – monthly instalment on the Milanese Radio Raheem – is a laboratory that considers radio as a form of art and a practice of experimentation and creation of multiple possibilities of sound, with the aim of connecting different cultural and spacial spheres and exploring the techno-sociologic nature of radio, together with its heterogenous practices of artistic production.
