In response to the appeal of Radio Alhara for a strike and musical silence, we are suspending broadcasts on RBL for the next 24 hours, until Sunday, October 22 at 12am.
Across our international community we have been completely devastated seeing the events of the last week in Palestine, Israel and Lebanon, with a trail of tension and episodes of racism and terrorism in Europe and in other places in the world. A dialogue has been growing among us, accompanied by a search for reliable information on the matter.
We condemn the use of violence against civilians and mourn the loss of all innocent lives. We stand against every act promoting racism, fascism, terrorism and unconditional hate. We are horrified by the ongoing bombardment of Gaza and war crimes currently taking place. We hope that humanity will prevail and encourage our community to support each other in the meanwhile.
