Unlike crowdfunding, a subscription method allows the long term sustainability of our activities, making it possible to develop projects with solid budgets and grow the radio even further, in Turin, Berlin and beyond. You can help us develop the campaign in the best way by completing this survey.
We all know sustaining an online radio financially can be problematic especially in long terms. Both our Turin and Berlin organisations promoted crowdfunding campaigns that greatly helped us previously, making it possible to keep on broadcasting 24/7, promoting events and social initiatives and allowing new broadcasters to join the radio, learning and doing what we love the most. At RBL, we now want to move towards making the radio sustainable in the long term, to develop our projects and grow the radio even further, not only in Turin and Berlin but beyond.
To achieve this we chose the platform Patreon. This is a platform that powers membership businesses. With a subscription-style payment model, fans pay their favorite creators a monthly amount. This model is a win-win; the radio retains creative freedom while getting the income needed, and fans get to rest easy knowing that their money goes directly towards creating more of what they love.
At the same time, we want to shape the campaign around you! You RBL broadcaster, you avid listener, technician or broadcast fan. For this reason, the first step we want to take towards this campaign is listening to your opinions and ideas, and this is why we are asking you to complete this survey.
