On Saturday December 4th Diggin’ South leaves the studio and comes back to Imbarchino with the third edition in a Fest format. From 5pm to midnight, in the Sala Remi on the river Po, a selection of “goodies” from Africa, Caribbean and other remote locations, all on vinyl.
Afro-latin, voodoo funk, oriental grooves, tropical disco, soukous, cadence, zouk and much more music from distant places and from a never-aging past. On the side of resident dj Damonji the decks will see Psychophono – a project born in 2015 from a group of djs from Milan, Italy, whose mission is to collect rare records from the 50s and 80s, coming from different corners of the world. Manuel Sirotti’s guitar will energize the set: he’s an eclectic musician who experiments constantly and pursues the perfect chemistry.
Diggin’ Soutch is the radio program conducted by Damonji, that moves among 70s and 80s rhythms of Africa, Caribbean and Latin America on air every first Monday of the month from 5pm to 7pm on RBL.
