On Monday 6 February a large area of southern Turkiye and northern Syria suffered two major earthquakes – measuring 7.8 and 7.5 on the magnitude scale – that hit many cities, causing thousands of deaths and left countless people injured or missing. Over 10.000 buildings were destroyed and the research and rescue activities are relentlessly going on since Monday night.
The exact number of deaths is unknown yet, but it’s continuously growing due the harsh cold temperatures that are slowing down the rescue activities. RBL invita all of its listeners to support with a donation organisations and research-rescue teams that are working in the areas hit by the earthquake.
