LOST IN TRANSMISSION
RADIO BANDA LARGA | Picks from the archive
On Saturday 19h December at 7pm, Ex Asilo Filangieri will present his project La Tela, a cultural web space filled by music, videos, voices, words and images.
We will have the chance to listen to compositions of readings and sound streams that will unfold us La Tela and its creative and political process.
La Tela was born in March, as an act of resistance to isolation, as the result of loss of a physical braintorming space. How is it possible to keep the community spirit safe during a lockdown? How could we work out artistic processes again?
La Tela represents a virtual meeting place: through weekly meetings, artists contribute to an open, multimedia and constantly evolving work.
Anyone can take part in the creation of the work, which is explanatory of how much a spirit of sharing is crucial for the Asilo. Since 2012, this neapolitan cultural centre successfully trasformed an abandoned space into a inter-independent center of artistic production, in which the development of a self-managed artistic community is possible.
The Tela establishes as well a bond, not only between artistic works, but also between their creators.
The research and creation table meets every Wednesday at 6pm; to participate write to: la_tela@exasilofilangieri.it
