Hemper is a vinyl-driven musical project focused on Afro-Latin, tropical, and dancefloor sound exploration. I don’t define myself as a DJ, but as a vinyl selector: I craft narrative-driven sets that move through cumbia, afrobeats, tropical funk, disco, and urban contaminations. I work almost exclusively with vinyl or carefully curated selections, with meticulous attention to the cultural depth of each track and the connections between regions, histories, and communities. The project stems from my background as a collector and from the desire to bring warm, inclusive music rooted in tradition to venues and social events. In recent years, I have collaborated with Turin-based and other collectives that promote culture, conviviality, and shared listening.
